Young Arma’s FAQ
What should my child wear and bring to the session?
Comfortable sportswear like a t‑shirt and shorts or leggings is perfect under their gi. If you don’t have a gi, we have rentals available on site. Just bring a water bottle and they’re good to go.
Can I stay and watch or do I need to leave during the class?
Parents are welcome to stay in reception and watch the class via our live stream from the dojo.
What actually happens during the class? What is the class structure like?
Each session follows a structured mix of warm‑ups, technical drills, partner exercises, and age‑appropriate games. For ages 7–11, classes also include supervised sparring to safely build confidence and skill.
Is Jiu Jitsu safe, or contact?
Jiu Jitsu is a controlled grappling art with no striking. All contact is supervised, introduced progressively, and partners are matched by size and experience to keep kids safe.
My child is shy/energetic/anxious - is it okay to bring them?
Absolutely. Our programme is designed for all personalities: shy kids grow in confidence, energetic kids channel their energy, and anxious kids benefit from clear structure and support.
What happens if we miss a class or need to cancel?
Classes must be booked at least one hour before the start time. You can cancel up to one hour before class; late cancellations or no‑shows count as a strike on your account.
Does the membership have a minimum term or is it rolling monthly?
We offer both minimum‑term and rolling monthly memberships, so you can choose the option that best fits your family’s schedule.
